arrested two people on methamphetamine-related charges in a 48-hour
period from Saturday to Monday.
Sgt. David Wear said he stopped a green
Dodge Dakota just after 1 a.m. Saturday for a taillight violation.
Upon talking with driver Kali S. Lawrence, Lenoir Street, Sweetwater,
he allegedly saw a syringe in plain view when she opened her wallet
to get her identification.
Wear asked for permission to search the
car, received it, and while he was doing this, Lawrence said she had
more drug paraphernalia in her purse.
