A former employee of a company
contracted with the state to provide counseling services to juveniles
has turned herself in on charges related to having sex with one of
the minors she was assigned to help in Monroe County after she was
indicted by a Monroe County grand jury, TBI has announced.
Jamie Tesoro, 29, of Knoxville, was
indicted by the Monroe County grand jury on six counts of statutory
rape. While employed by Health Connect America, a company that
contracts with various state departments to provide services to
juveniles, Tesoro allegedly began a sexual relationship with an
underage minor she was assigned to counsel through the Monroe County
Juvenile Probation Office.
A press release from TBI alleged the
relationship began in December 2012 and continued until May 2013. The
10th Judicial District Attorney General's Office requested TBI to
investigate in May of 2013. The Department of Children's Services
and Monroe County Sheriff's Office assisted in the

County jail on $25,000 bond.
