A Madisonville area man was arrested
Monday after he allegedly cut the necks of two men during an

Millsaps said it was just past 7:30 p.m. when he arrived at a home on
Atkins Road and talked with Steve Abercrombie. Abercrombie said Terry
Blankenship had come to his house and started trouble with his son,
The younger Abercrombie said they
started fighting in the driveway and Blankenship allegedly pulled a
knife and they ended up on the ground, where Abercrombie was cut on
The elder Abercrombie attempted to
break up the fight and Blankenship allegedly cut him on the neck
Blankenship left the residence before
Millsaps arrived, but he was found next door standing next to a white
horse. Millsaps said Blankenship was unsteady on his feet, smelled of
alcohol and had slurred speech.
Millsaps asked Blankenship to show his
hands, but he refused and resisted arrest, climbing on the horse and
running it at Millsaps.
