In a cost saving move, Tennessee
Department of Labor & Workforce Development Acting Commissioner
Burns Phillips announced last week that the department will
permanently suspend job services at 34 career centers, including the

effectively serve all Tennessee residents within the current budget
"We understand the importance of
providing support to job seekers and take that responsibility
seriously," said Phillips. "This plan allows us to rightsize the
program and continue services to all 95 counties."
