A Sweetwater man driving through
Knoxville ended up being the subject of a three-county chase early
Sunday when he fled a traffic stop.
According to the Knox County Sheriff's
Office, William Howard Ferguson III, was stopped in a 1995 Mustang on
Cavette Hill just after midnight. It was as a Knox County Deputy was
approaching him that Ferguson changed his mind about stopping and
took off, knocking the deputy to the ground, but not injuring him.
The chase was on and Knox County Deputies Joseph Sulewski and Joshua Hoskins pursued Ferguson out of Knox
County, through Loudon County, where they joined the chase and into
Monroe County.
