Thomason The sprucing up of the Monroe County Courthouse
continues as the clock tower was recently painted and repaired. The clock should strike exactly on
the hour now instead of a few minutes past the hour. The County Mayor's Office said the painting
project cost about $53,000, which is about half what it cost the last time to paint the
Courthouse.
