"It's
kind of a giant cosmic slap. It's like the universe saying, 'Look,
remember when you were 14 and you has cystic acne and braces and you
played the saxophone in the marching band and no one would invite you
to the winter formal? Well, nothing's changed.'"

Fitzpatrick, Valentine's Day (2010)
Valentine's Day is tomorrow. The
couple-driven holiday known as "the most romantic day of the year" can also be one of the most dreaded days of the year for singles.
But, it's time to quit the pity party and take the holiday into those
single hands.
The Advocate & Democrat took to
social media to find out how to survive Valentine's Day if you're
single. After all, who says two is better than one?
Treat yourself
"I'm single and I always treat myself
to a nice gift on Valentine's Day and I get exactly what I really
want!" laughed Shannon Anthony.
Since Valentine's Day is all about
love, remember to love yourself. Do whatever you want; indulge,
pamper yourself with a manicure, treat yourself to a movie, order a
pizza and play video games but most importantly, celebrate you.
"The day is what you make it," said
Marie Darcie Schilling Stewart. See full story in the Wednesday, Feb. 13, edition of The Advocate & Democrat.
