SEQUOYAH- The Chiefs offense was held in check for most of their contest with the Govenors. From a depth perspective, Sequoyah did not get the production it so desired. Just four Chiefs combined for 65 points in the loss.

Chiefs head coach Daniel Curtis commented after the game.” We just didn't rebound well tonight. We started off great but we did not crash the glass late, and we have got to get more people
involved in the offense.” The Chiefs were led in scoring by Taylor Hawkins who nettted 23 points. Brett King finished with 20. This was the first time both of them have been healthy and on the floor at the same time in almost three weeks.

Andrew Milsaps and Shon Stevens each had 11 points. William Blount used an overall team effort to shut down the Chiefs at home. Jayden Bailey led the Govenors with 17 points while Austin Haworth scored 13 points. The Govenors had great bench play and that was really the difference in the contest. Taylor DeArmond had 11 points and four other Govenors scored at least 5 points.
Cody Mathis and Joel Graham each netted 8 points, while David Kinlow scored 7. Reed Daniels had 5 points and Brandon Tiption added a free throw.

The Chiefs will be looking to stay healthy and consistent
in the games ahead. With lineup changes, and injury reports occurring daily, Sequoyah has had a tough time keeping their starters on the floor. When asked if he was going to stay a while after the Govenors game, Daniel Curtis replied “ I'm going to get some rest. It's almost Christmas.” Sequoyah will try and do the same thing over the break, but will travel to Cosby for a Christmas tournament later in the week.
