Veterans, followed by the Boy Scouts, march down Main Street in the Veterans Day Parade on a mild Saturday in Sweetwater. 

After the parade, a special ceremony was held at the gazebo with State Rep. Jimmy Matlock, R-Lenoir City, serving as the main speaker. 

Monroe County has held numerous public and school events honoring veterans.
