Wicky Shepherd was arrested late last Wednesday night after he
reportedly helped his son Christopher elude arrest after a brief chase.

The deadline for candidates to qualify for the May 4 county general Democrat and Republican primaries is fast approaching.
Candidates have until noon on Feb. 18 to submit qualifying petitions
with the valid signatures of at least 25 registered voters to qualify

A man who was removed as a Tellico Plains alderman in 2008, was
arrested late Wednesday night after he allegedly attempted to help his
son avoid arrest.
Tellico Plains Police Officer Jason Russell said he was pursuing
Christopher Shepherd in a red truck when Shepherd pulled into his
father's junkyard and took off on foot. Russell exited his patrol car
and chased after him. More

A strong opening quarter and closing quarter was all the Meigs County
Lady Tigers needed to cruise past the Sweetwater Lady Wildcats on
Friday night, winning 48-31.
The Lady Tigers outscored Sweetwater by a combined 23-11 in the first
and fourth quarters as the Lady Cats fell to 4-16 overall and 2-5 in
